Chucky arrived at Los Barrios pound in October 2024 and was about 4 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Cross breed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Chucky - A Sweet Soul Finding His Way...Chucky initially seemed a little confused by his new situation after being in a chaotic, crowded pound. He spent over 23 hours a day stuck in a small cage, which understandably left him wary. However, Chucky has come a long way since then.He’s now settled in much better and is getting along with the other dogs. Chucky is particularly comfortable with female dogs, and while he’s generally okay with most males, he can be a bit selective with certain male dogs. He is currently sharing a cage with other dogs without any problems. His confidence is growing, and he has started to enjoy the company of people as well. Chucky will now approach you with excitement, offering all the kisses you want, and he happily accepts cuddles and treats. It’s clear he’s starting to trust again, and his progress is heartwarming.Chucky is still a dog who needs a little extra patience, but he’s well on his way to becoming the loving companion we know he can be. He needs a secure home with outdoor space that is fenced, as he will not thrive in an apartment. If you have experience and are looking for a dog who just needs some time, love, and understanding, Chucky might be the perfect match for you.
