Logan arrived at Los Barrios pound in February 2025 and was about 9 months old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Pitbull Terrier. Logan – A Bright and Lively Companion Looking for His Forever Home… Logan is a young male dog, not even one year old, who has already overcome a difficult start in life. He was rescued by one of our dedicated volunteers after being found tied up and living in poor conditions. At just nine months old, Logan was freed from a life in chains and finally given the chance to start over.He arrived at the pound just as severe weather set in during March 2025. With the pound at risk of flooding, he was placed in a foster home. After spending 1.5 months there, his foster family shared that Logan is an active and intelligent dog who is very trainable. He quickly learned basic cues such as sit, stay, and wait for food. He is food‑motivated, which makes him eager to learn and responsive to positive training methods. He travels well in the car when safely secured in a crate and has been left alone for a few hours at a time. He sleeps peacefully through the night and enjoys sunbathing in the garden and chewing on sticks.Back at the pound, Logan is confined to a cage for more than 23 hours a day – a situation that is clearly not in his best interest. The poor boy is very lonely in his cage, and during the day, when he has his daily break, he goes out to the patio for 10–15 minutes, most days on his own. But you should see him when a volunteer has the time to spend with him there—he absolutely loves it! He enjoys playing and running around, but also just lying down calmly for belly rubs, cuddles, and kisses. He’s an amazing boy who truly deserves a loving home.He has had a positive interaction with a large female dog on the patio, though he was understandably enthusiastic and a bit intense in his play. Considering that he hasn’t had any opportunities to interact with other dogs in the last six months, his excitement is completely normal for a young dog.Logan loves going out for walks and is doing really well on the lead, making outings with him a pleasure. Unfortunately, walks happen very rarely due to the lack of volunteers.Logan would be best suited to an experienced owner who is familiar with his breed and confident in handling a strong, determined dog. He has huge potential and would thrive in a home where he receives consistent training, structure, and lots of positive reinforcement. With time, patience, and understanding, Logan is sure to develop into a loyal and rewarding companion.Logan is waiting to meet the right person – could that be you?
