Wave arrived at Los Barrios pound in December 2025 and was about 7 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous Crossbreed that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.Wave arrived at the pound in December, at around 7 years of age. She came in together with another female dog, Sea. When they first arrived, Wave and Sea shared a cage, but unfortunately they had to be separated and are now, sadly, each living alone in their own cage.With people, Wave is a truly sweet and gentle dog. She has a soft, calm nature and enjoys human company. We have also seen her interact with a child, and she behaved very well, showing patience and kindness.Wave has recently been out on her very first walk. At the beginning, she hesitated slightly and seemed unfamiliar with both the harness and the experience of going outside. After a few minutes, she was ready to explore and began to enjoy the walk. She is a big, strong girl and was initially a bit strong on the lead, but she gradually calmed down and pulled less as the walk continued. She was not bothered by passing cars or other dogs and remained relaxed in these situations. Wave also enjoyed rolling in the grass and happily stopped for cuddles and treats.Wave deserves stability, affection, and a peaceful environment. She does not deserve a life behind bars, and we sincerely hope that she will soon find a loving home where she can finally feel safe and valued.UPDATE: A few weeks after her arrival, Wave was moved into a foster home due to the risk of flooding at the pound caused by heavy rain and strong winds. She is really enjoying the warmth, comfort, and safety of a loving home.Her foster says that she doesn’t want to go outside in the rain, loves sleeping on her bed, and so far is doing well with the cats.
