Mochilo arrived at Los Barrios pound in December 2025 and was about 2 years old on arrival. He is a beautiful boy, a bit timid with people, but will come to you for a treat and a gentle tickle under his chin. He gets along well with the other dogs he has met at the pound.In January, Mochilo was moved into a foster home due to the risk of flooding from heavy rain and storms. His foster describes him as a friendly, playful, and a little mischievous — he likes to carry anything he finds to his bed. He is cautious around men and can be a bit startled when there’s movement in the room, but he is adjusting well. He has also been fine with cats, with only occasional harmless chasing.Mochilo enjoys his food — he eats his kibble well, and he certainly won’t say no to a bit of ham. He also loves to stay warm by the heater when it’s cold. On walks, he stays focused on other dogs, but if walking alone, he needs a steady pace so he doesn’t get distracted by street noises.Mochilo is currently in foster care, but this is only temporary. He still needs his forever home, a loving place where he can feel safe, happy, and cherished.
