Rolf arrived at Los Barrios pound in March 2022 and was about 9 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous cross breed that was handed in together with another male, because their owner has died.Rolf has epilepsy and therefore it is best if he is homed as a single dog.March 2022: Due to the heavy rain and risk of the pound flooding, Rolf is in a foster home. His foster family say:Rolf was easily frightened at first, but in 2 days he has become one more in my house. He doesn’t pay any attention to the cats (I have 3) although he doesn’t like to get too close. A little jealous, he wants all the love for him! He is really lacking in affection…he needs someone who doesn’t have dogs and can give all their love to him, and he has a lot of love to give!He doesn’t do his business in the house, he waits to be taken out, twice in the morning and once in the evening. He is very well-behaved, sits, gives his paw… and please, with the girl he just showers her with love!!! He needs to find a home; he isn’t a dog that should be in a cage at the pound.December 2022: Rolf went into foster because of the risk of the pound is flooding.The foster family tells us:He is a wonderful boy…. he loves to go for a walk and when he comes across other dogs, he is receptive if they approach him, otherwise he simply ignores them and goes on with his own business. We don’t know how he is with cats, but we think he could get used to them. With people he is very friendly, he loves having a cuddle and a stroke and is calm all the time. His only desires are to sleep, eat, walk and have some cuddles. He has rarely been left home alone, but when he is he doesn’t touch anything, he is very obedient and well-educated. In the car, he just lies down and looks out the window, he is such an easy dog. We also haven’t had any problems giving him his daily medication. Today we took him to the groomers to bathe him and so on, and they told us he was very well-behaved. We sincerely wish to find his forever family and we will do our best to help with everything.
