Shu arrived at Los Barrios pound in September 2025 and was about 6 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Belgian Shepherd that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Shu arrived at the pound in September and is around six years old. He is a striking Belgian Shepherd who, in the beginning, was a little uncertain in his new surroundings. As he settled in and felt more secure, his true personality began to shine — and it’s a lovely one.Shu is now a very sweet and affectionate boy who enjoys human company and seeks out attention. He is attentive and intelligent, loves treats, and already knows basic cues such as “sit” and giving his paw. He is playful and especially enjoys chasing a tennis ball, but he is just as happy to relax and enjoy a good cuddle.Shu loves going out for walks. He is visibly happy when chosen, and during walks he is full of joy—jumping around, sniffing, and exploring his surroundings. He is a big, strong boy and can be strong on the lead, but he remains relaxed and calm when passing cars, scooters, and other dogs. Shu also loves water, happily walking through puddles or even lying down in them, and he enjoys rolling around in the grass. When he meets people who want to greet him, he is the happiest boy, throwing himself into their arms for cuddles. He clearly thrives with regular outings and attention.This big, handsome boy would do best in an active home with people who have experience with larger breeds and who can offer him both physical activity and mental stimulation. Shu is still a young-at-heart dog with plenty of energy, and with the right family, he will be a loyal and loving companion. He truly deserves a home of his own.
