Taison arrived at Los Barrios pound in December 2025 and was about 10 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier that was handed in by his owner.Taison is around ten years old and recently arrived at the pound after spending his entire life — ten years — with the same owner. Sadly, he was handed in due to his owner’s health problems, through no fault of his own.Taison has previously lived peacefully with small dogs and is accustomed to a home environment. The sudden change has been very difficult for him. As a senior dog, he is understandably confused and distressed by being confined to a small kennel for most of the day, with very limited human contact.At his age, Taison should be enjoying warmth, comfort, and a quiet place to rest. Instead, he is facing the cold and damp winter conditions at the pound, which are especially hard on an elderly dog and do not meet the needs he deserves.Taison is a gentle older boy who would greatly benefit from a calm, loving home where he can feel safe again and spend his senior years in comfort. He truly deserves a second chance to live out his life with dignity, warmth, and companionship.
