Camaron arrived at Los Barrios pound in February 2025 and was about 4.5 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Mastin.Camaron – Full of Life, Looking for Love...Camaron is a handsome 4.5-year-old Mastín who was handed in by his owner. Life at the pound has been a tough adjustment for him. Understandably, he was deeply stressed at first—surrounded by barking dogs, unfamiliar people, and the sudden loss of everything he knew - but over time, Camaron has started to adjust.He is now sharing his cage with a female dog who seems quite taken with him—and who can blame her? He is a charming boy. They get along well, and each day they enjoy some time outside in the patio together with another male and female. These short breaks bring him some relief from the monotony of the cage, which he spends more than 23 hours a day in. It’s far from ideal, especially for a dog like Camaron who thrives on movement, interaction, and stimulation.Camaron is full of energy and craves human attention. He loves going out for walks, though it doesn’t happen often due to a lack of volunteers. When he does get the chance, he shows how much he enjoys it—he’s good on the lead and walks with enthusiasm. He isn’t bothered by other dogs or people passing by, and he’ll gladly stop for a cuddle or a treat. These small moments of connection mean everything to him.Though he’s made progress, life in a cage is clearly hard on Camaron. He becomes jumpy and overexcited at times, especially when stressed or lacking outlets for his energy. For this reason, he wouldn’t be suited to a home with small children.
