Israel arrived at Los Barrios pound in October 2019 and was about 1,5 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous cross breed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Israel is a large, cuddly boy, longing for companionship and love. Despite initially appearing a bit rough, Israel only wants to shower affection on anyone who takes the time to know him. He used to share his confined space with his friend Bella, who has since been adopted, but Israel now finds himself alone, spending his days in solitude.Though fleeting moments of joy come when he's allowed outside, chasing his ball provides temporary solace from his lonely existence. Yearning for human connection, Israel craves the warmth of a loving home. But his strength and lack of training often overshadow his gentle nature, leaving him overlooked and misunderstood. He dreams of a place where his size and strength are not a barrier, where he can roam freely in a garden and bask in the love of a devoted family. With each passing day, month, year, Israel's hope of this better life dwindles. Will you be the one to turn Israel's dreams into reality? Please, make an appointment to meet this handsome boy and give him the chance to fill your home with love and laughter.17/4-25:A Very Special Day for IsraelTomorrow would have marked Israel’s 2,000th day at the pound. That’s over five years of waiting, watching, and hoping. But today, everything changed for him. Thanks to the incredible generosity of AIMS Charity, Israel has left the pound and moved to a wonderful sanctuary, where he’ll finally have the peace and space he has always deserved. A calm and caring environment where he can relax, receive training, and begin a new chapter in his life.We cannot hide the fact that it breaks our hearts he had to wait this long. For years, Israel has lived in a tiny, damp, and dark cage — a far cry from what any dog deserves. He never complained, never gave up, but he deserved so much more: space to run, calm surroundings, and to feel the grass under his paws.We are deeply sorry that we weren’t able to find him a home all these years. In that sense, we feel we’ve failed him. But today, thanks to AIMS, he has been given a real chance — and we’re hopeful this new beginning will help lead him to the forever home he’s always been waiting for.You can still read more about Israel on our website. He’s not home yet — but he’s finally closer than ever.Thank you, AIMS. We can’t wait to follow Israel’s journey from here.
