Nino arrived at Los Barrios pound in November 2021 and was about 8-9 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Nino loves people, cuddles and treats. He arrived in a horrible state and very skinny. He is so stressed in his small cage where he spends more then 23 1/2 hours a day - alone... Nino needs to get out of the pound as it makes him sick.Update September 2024:As some of you already know, Niño has been staying in a private boarding facility for the past few months, thanks to a group of wonderful sponsors who are covering all his expenses.Unfortunately, Niño tested positive for filaria-heartworm and is currently undergoing treatment. This isn’t the situation we would want for him; we would love for him to be in a cozy home where he can rest and have all the comforts he deserves.But sadly, this is all we can offer him right now. In the boarding facility, he lives peacefully with other dogs, and with people, he’s very sweet.Niño is an older dog, and right now, he’s not feeling well. We’re confident he’ll get better soon, but can you imagine not feeling well and not having the warmth of a family?He’s been waiting for so long, and he truly deserves to spend his final years in a loving home.Please consider giving him a chance.He’s currently in Málaga but can travel anywhere within the peninsula.Contact: sosppplosbarrios@gmail.com
