Paella arrived at Los Barrios pound in May 2025 and was about 1 year old on arrival. She is a gorgeous Crossbreed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Paella – A Young Soul Learning to Trust and Shine… Paella is a beautiful young girl of just about one year old who has recently arrived at the pound. Like many dogs who suddenly find themselves in an unfamiliar and stressful environment, Paella was very scared during her first few days. She kept to herself, unsure of the people around her. But it didn’t take long for her to realise that the volunteers meant her no harm – quite the opposite.Now, Paella is beginning to show her true self. She welcomes attention with a wagging tail and a gentle heart, clearly enjoying the affection and kindness she’s receiving. Her trust in people is growing day by day, and she responds with gratitude and a sweet, joyful energy.She has already been integrated with other dogs and enjoys socialising on the patio during her short daily break. She shares her time outdoors peacefully with her canine companions. Sadly, like most dogs in the pound, she spends the majority of the day locked in a small kennel, with very limited time to play, explore, or simply be a dog.Paella is still so young, with her whole life ahead of her. She deserves a chance to grow up in a loving home – not behind bars.
