Aida arrived at Los Barrios pound in October 2024 and was about 6 years old on arrival. She is a cross breed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.A Timid Soul in Need of Love..Aida’s eyes tell a story of a tough life, one likely spent surviving on the streets. She is a very timid and scared girl who struggles to trust people. When approached, Aida runs off to hide, too afraid to let anyone get close.Despite her fear of humans, Aida has shown she can be at ease with other dogs. She finds comfort in their company and has even been spotted playing with them when she thinks no one is watching. It’s in those quiet, unguarded moments that a glimpse of her true spirit shines through.Aida desperately needs a special home—one with experience in helping shy and fearful dogs. She would thrive with the support of a calm and friendly dog who could help her feel safe and learn that the world isn’t so scary after all.This sweet, fragile soul has a long road ahead, but with patience, understanding, and love, Aida could finally know what it’s like to feel safe and cared for. The shelter kindly offered that she could stay with them for a while longer, especially as we continue to struggle with lack of space at the pound.Aida is still struggeling to trust people and she is still living in a small cage at a crowded shelter. This is not the life she deserves.
