Margareth arrived at Los Barrios pound in October 2023 and was about 7 years old on arrival. She is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Margareth has now spent two full years confined to a small, boring cage surrounded by metal and cement at the pound. The 9-year-old lady sits quietly, her spirit dampened by the sadness and loneliness of her situation, as she watches the world pass her by.Despite the harsh realities of her living conditions, Margareth is a very loving and affectionate girl with people. When someone approaches her cage, she is eager to show her gentle and loving nature. She adores attention and cuddles, making her a perfect companion for any home. Margareth loves going on walks - a rare treat due to the lack of volunteers at the pound. On the leash, she is a dream, never pulling and simply enjoying the chance to sniff the grass.Being a big, black dog presents challenges for Margareth in finding her forever home. However, we firmly believe that her appearance should not hinder her from finding the loving family she deserves. Margareth needs a home where she can receive the love, attention, and enrichment she craves to bring her spirit back to life.After two years of living in a cage, Margareth is more than ready to start the next chapter of her life.
