Martin arrived at Los Barrios pound in November 2025 and was about 2 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Malinois that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.Martin is a young Malinois and a large, strikingly handsome dog. He is very friendly with people and enjoys human contact, happily accepting cuddles and treats.On the lead, Martin is absolutely wonderful. He walks calmly without pulling and is not bothered by traffic, passing dogs, or even cats close by. He is easy to handle and a pleasure to walk. Sadly, due to the high number of dogs at the pound and the limited number of volunteers, he rarely gets the walks he loves.Martin currently lives in a small cage, where he spends more than 23 hours a day, and he is sharing this space with a female Malinois. While he appears to get along well with other dogs, introductions should always be done carefully, particularly given his size and strength.As a typical Malinois, Martin will need an active and committed owner who can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation. In the right home, with proper guidance and enrichment, Martin has all the potential to become a calm, loyal, and truly wonderful companion.
