Darka arrived at Los Barrios pound in July 2025 and was about 1.5 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous Crossbreed that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.Darka – A Loving Girl Looking for Her Forever HomeDarka arrived at the pound in July 2025, around one and a half years old. She had a microchip, so she had to wait until it was released before she could be put up for adoption — and that only happened in December. During that time, she was stuck in the pound with no chance to find a home. Now she is finally available for adoption, ready to meet the family she has been waiting for.Darka is absolutely great with people. She is a big girl with a loving nature, and she enjoys cuddles and attention. She also loves going out for walks, though unfortunately these happen very rarely due to the limited number of volunteers and the many dogs in the pound. On walks, Darka is generally good on the lead. She isn’t bothered by passing cars, people, or other dogs. She can sometimes pull a little, but most of the time she walks calmly and enjoys exploring her surroundings.Sadly, Darka spends more than 23 hours a day in a tiny cage. This is no life for any dog — she deserves space, comfort, and a family who can give her the love she longs for. Ideally, she would thrive in a home with experience with large breeds, as an only dog, and without small children, so she can receive the attention and security she needs.Darka is a loving girl with so much to offer. She is ready to leave the pound behind and start a life in a safe, caring, and permanent home.
