Phoskito arrived at Los Barrios pound in January 2026 and was about 1 year old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Pincher that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.Phoskito – A Shy Soul Looking for Calm and LovePhoskito is about one year old and arrived at the pound in January 2026. He has just recently arrived, so we are still getting to know him, but so far he seems timid with people—likely because living in a tiny cage at the pound, surrounded by barking dogs he doesn’t know and unfamiliar people, is overwhelming.Despite his shyness, Phoskito gets along well with other dogs when he has the chance to go out into the patio during the day. We hope he will soon settle, or even better, find a loving home quickly where he can feel safe, relaxed, and truly cherished.Please help Phoskito find the loving home he deserves.UPDATE: A few weeks after his arrival, Phoskito was moved into a foster home due to the risk of flooding at the pound caused by heavy rain and strong winds. He is really enjoying the warmth, comfort, and safety of a loving home.His foster says he is timid but is settling in well; he just needs to feel safe and have patience. He has been on walks and loves relaxing on the sofa.His stay in foster is only temporary during the rainy period, and Phoskito is still in need of his forever home where he can feel secure, loved, and cherished for life.
