Boston arrived at Los Barrios pound in Febuary 2025 and was about 3 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Pitbull Terrier that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Boston – From Timid to Tender-Hearted...When Boston arrived at the pound a couple of months ago, he was in a very poor state. His skin was in terrible condition, and he was timid, scared, and unsure of his surroundings. It was clear that he had been through a lot, and while we don’t know anything about his past, his fear and the condition he was in spoke for itself. Everything seemed overwhelming to him—the barking dogs, the unfamiliar faces—but we hoped he would settle in with time. Now, Boston has truly blossomed. He has transformed into an incredibly sweet and loving dog who enjoys affection and companionship. He is always happy for cuddles and treats. On walks, Boston shows his love for exploring and meeting the world around him. He’s a very strong boy on the lead, so he definitely needs someone experienced and strong enough to guide him safely. Because walks are rare at the pound—there are so few volunteers and so many dogs—he doesn’t get out as often as he’d like. That said, when he does go out, he’s wonderful: he isn’t bothered by other dogs, passing people, or cars, and he can calm down a bit during the walk. Boston also enjoys showing off his tricks, like sitting and giving his paw for treats. He is truly a stunning, affectionate boy who just needs the right person to handle his strength on the lead.Boston is wonderful with female dogs. He is currently happily sharing a small cage with Barbara and has also lived peacefully with other females before her. He hasn’t yet been tested with males.Boston has come such a long way, both physically and emotionally, and now he just needs a home where he will be loved and cherished.
