Kira arrived at Los Barrios pound in December 2025 and was about 2 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous Crossbreed that was handed in by her owner.Kira arrived at the pound in December, at just two years old, after being handed in by her owners who no longer wanted her following the arrival of a new baby.This sudden change has been incredibly hard for Kira. She is understandably confused and sad, unable to comprehend how her life has changed so abruptly. From a home environment, she has found herself living in a cold, damp cage, where she spends more than 23½ hours a day.Kira’s only daily break is a short time in the patio, which she shares with two male dogs. While she copes as best she can, it is clear that this situation is extremely difficult for her.Kira is struggling, and she truly deserves a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and part of a family again. She needs stability, kindness, and time to heal from this sudden loss, and we hope she can soon find the home she so deeply deserves.
