Ice arrived at Los Barrios pound in April 2025 and was about 5 years old on arrival. He is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Ice – A Strong and Handsome Boy..Ice is a striking, strong boy of about five years old who has been at the pound for some time now, so we’ve had the chance to get to know him a little better. He arrived with many ticks but otherwise appeared well cared for, suggesting he may once have had a home.In the beginning, when he went out for walks, he often stopped to look after passing cars, as if waiting for someone who never came — a heartbreaking reminder of how confusing this change must have been for him. He also passed by some cats and clearly wasn’t comfortable around them, so he is not compatible with cats. He has since settled into the routine here but still carries that quiet hope for something better.Ice is very sweet and loving with people and enjoys any bit of attention he can get. Sadly, this stunning dog spends more than 23 hours a day in a tiny cage. When he finally gets a chance to go out, it’s usually just on the patio and on his own — a very sad and lonely life for such a wonderful dog who deserves so much more.We truly hope this lovely boy will soon find a new family — one that will give him the love and companionship he’s so ready to return tenfold.
