Tao arrived at Los Barrios pound in November 2025 and was about 1.5 years old on arrival. He is a gorgeous Crossbreed that was found presumably abandoned on the streets and taken to the pound.This handsome young boy, around 18 months old, arrived at the pound in November in a very poor state. Thanks to the care he received, he has made great progress and is now a happy, friendly boy who loves being around people.Tao shares a cage with the lovely Nala, and the pair get along wonderfully. He enjoys his outings, exploring the world on walks, and while he could use a little lead training, he isn’t fazed by passing cars or people. Tao also likes to stay close to Nala—though she has just been reserved, so soon he may be looking for a new companion and a loving home of his own.This sweet boy is ready to find a family who will give him the love and attention he deserves. Could that family be yours?UPDATE – January 2026Tao went into foster care a few days ago due to heavy rain and the risk of flooding at the pound. According to his foster:At first, Tao was nervous, but he has already started to settle and is much calmer now. He has been introduced to a pee pad and uses it for urination, though he prefers to go outside. Sometimes he goes wherever he finds a spot, as he is still learning.On walks, Tao behaves well, but he can get spooked by sudden loud noises. So far, he has not met other dogs, and when he encounters something unfamiliar, he may raise the fur along his back — a sign that he is feeling nervous and unsure.It has only been two days in foster, so it is still very early, and he is continuing to adjust.
