Murdok – Three Years of Waiting, Still Full of Love 💔Murdok arrived at the Los Barrios pound in April 2022. He was around two years old at the time – a young, strong, and spirited American Staffordshire Terrier, likely abandoned and found wandering the streets.Now, more than three years later, Murdok is no longer a young dog. He has spent over half his life behind bars. Day after day, month after month – waiting in a small cage for someone to notice him. To choose him. To give him the life he so deeply deserves.Despite everything, Murdok’s heart remains full of love. He is still the same sweet, loyal, and playful soul he has always been. When he finally gets a break from his cage – whether it’s a walk or a moment on the patio – he comes alive. His joy is immediate. He runs, he plays, and he soaks up every bit of attention with gratitude. He’s calm on the lead, responsive and attentive, and will happily sit for a treat without even being asked.Murdok is curious and confident when exploring the world. Nothing seems to faze him – not passing cars, bicycles, other dogs, or even horses.He has spent time in the patio with several different female dogs and has interacted well with them, showing a playful and charming attitude. We have not yet tested him off-lead with male dogs, but on-lead during walks, he seems fine.Spending nearly 24 hours a day in a confined space has taken a toll on him, and it breaks our hearts to see such a beautiful, affectionate dog growing older in a place not meant for long-term living.Murdok is more than ready for a second chance. He deserves a home. A soft bed. A loving human. A life of walks, cuddles, and freedom.Please come and meet this stunning boy.
