Halley arrived at Los Barrios pound in March 2024 and was about 1 year old on arrival. She is a stunning Staffordshire Bull Terrier that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Meet beautiful Halley, a young and sweet pup who deserves so much more than life in a tiny cage all alone. Halley loves people and cherishes the few cuddles she receives, which she truly deserves a lot more of.She enjoys her brief breaks from the cage, where she loves playing and rolling in the grass. Halley has shown to get along well with male dogs, although she has not yet been tested with females. Despite her playful nature, she sadly must return to the cage—a life that's too lonely for such a social soul.Update – February 2025:Halley spent several months in foster care due to the risk of flooding at the pound. Her foster family shared some helpful observations about her behaviour and character."At home, Halley settled well and behaved nicely in the areas of the house prepared for her. She showed a little separation anxiety, but only at a low level — nothing serious. When left alone, she would bark a bit and wander around curiously, but she calmed down again shortly after. It’s something future adopters should be aware of, though it’s very manageable. She got along well with the other dogs in the house, although she can be a bit possessive with food. She behaved very well on the lead during walks. She also saw the foster’s cat through the fence and showed no particular interest, remaining calm and unconcerned."Halley returned to the pound in March 2025. At first, she seemed sad and confused — it was clear that going back to a small cage after knowing the comfort of a home was difficult for her. Thankfully, she now has a new friend to share her cage with, and his company has brought her some joy again. When they go out to the patio, she loves to play with him, and when they’re tired, they simply rest side by side in the sun — it’s beautiful to see how much comfort they find in each other.Halley is such a sweet, affectionate, and playful girl. She has been through a lot, yet her gentle nature and loving heart remain intact. What she needs now is a family of her own — someone to love her, care for her, and finally give her the warm, safe home she truly deserves.Let's give Halley the chance to experience the love and freedom she deserves outside of those bars. She's ready to bring endless love into your life—could you be the one to give her the forever home she's been dreaming of? 🐾❤️
