Rosco arrived at Los Barrios pound in June 2024 and was about 4-5 years old on arrival. He is an American Staffordshire Terrier that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound.Rosco: A Lonely Soul in Need of Love...Rosco has been at the pound for more than a year, and his sadness has been heartbreaking to witness. But things have changed for this sweet boy—he is no longer wary of people! Now, he absolutely loves cuddles and attention and, if given the chance, will happily climb onto your lap to soak up as much affection as possible. Still, life at the pound is far from pleasant. He spends over 23 hours a day alone in a small cage. His world consists of metal bars, a damp concrete floor, and a plastic bed—no comfort, no companionship, no stimulation. Rosco deserves so much more. Rosco enjoys a calm walk and has truly proven himself to be a star on the lead! He doesn’t pull at all and remains calm and relaxed despite people, cars, and other dogs passing by. He’s also happy to stop for a treat and a cuddle along the way. Since walks at the pound are rare due to a lack of volunteers, this is a big step for Rosco, and he handled it like a pro! Rosco has been waiting far too long for someone to give him a chance.
